In February, actor Val Kilmer joined The Mary Baker Eddy Library for the second program in our Centenary Series, highlighting the relevance of Eddy's story in the world today. Kilmer performed a monologue as Mark Twain, and discussed his upcoming film, Twain and Eddy, before a sold-out crowd. Other artists, authors and thinkers have shared their projects and perspectives over the months since. This September, we invited you to join us and become acquainted with this extraordinary woman's life and legacy.
On September 23, the Library staff set the scene with a presentation on the life of Mary Baker Eddy which builds a picture of her struggles, discoveries, victories and legacy. Actor Val Kilmer was also present to help celebrate this remarkable woman's achievements. Although only a small group of invitees were in the Hall of Ideas that evening, we invited everyone to join us for a live webcast of the performance, streamed from this page.
More information about our Centenary Series programming, including streaming video of Kilmer's previous performance, are also available.
