“A picture is worth a thousand words! Come tell us your favorite story through art!"
The Mary Baker Eddy Library opened its doors Tuesday, February 16 through Friday, February 19, with free admission for visitors under 17. Children were invited to tour Library exhibits, including the Mapparium® and learn more about Mary Baker Eddy's love of reading and her life spent learning, teaching and giving to others.
Every hour there was story time where kids listened to books read aloud. Selections were chosen to reflect a theme of giving in the hopes of inspiring young listeners. Children were also be provided with drawing materials and invited to depict a story that they had read themselves or one which had been read to them. Prizes were awarded to selected drawings and winners were announced at a reception on Thursday, March 4.
