Did you know that the Mapparium® is frozen in time? The globe was completed in 1935 and has not been changed since, making the map of political boundaries and country names accurate only to that time period. There are many ways to map out periods of time!
From February 22 – 25, visitors 17 and under received free admission to coincide with the February school vacation week. The Library also hosted a free educational program with activities to engage youth and their families with the concept of visually creating maps of time, through timelines, sequence, and chronology.
During this week, children were invited to tour Library exhibits, including the Mapparium, and learn more about the events in Mary Baker Eddy's life and the world during the nineteenth century.
