Neal (1866\u20131930) war von dem Moment an, wo er als zwanzigj\u00e4hriger Bankangestellter von der Christlichen Wissenschaft erfuhr, \u00fcberzeugter Christlicher Wissenschaftler. Nachdem er im Mittleren Westen der USA eine erfolgreiche Heilpraxis aufgebaut hatte, zog er nach Boston, um f\u00fcr Mary Baker Eddys wachsende Kirche zu arbeiten. Er war unter anderem siebzehn Jahre im Vorstand der Christlichen Wissenschaft t\u00e4tig.
