Aunque Mary Baker Eddy no escribi\u00f3 estas palabras, le han sido equivocadamente atribuidas durante m\u00e1s de un siglo.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el n\u00famero de diciembre de 1899 de la revista <i>Unity,<\/i> una variante de esta declaraci\u00f3n apareci\u00f3 en un folleto preparado por el Rvdo. Joseph Adams,<span id='easy-footnote-1-66121' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/es\/research\/lo-escribio-mary-baker-eddy-por-cuanto-soy-hijo-de-dios\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-66121' title='\u201cEl Hermano Joseph Adams&amp;#8230;\u201d, &lt;em&gt;Unity,&lt;\/em&gt; diciembre de 1899, p\u00e1g. 281.'><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> un evangelista wesleyano que se estableci\u00f3 en Oakland, California. Se hab\u00eda convertido a la Ciencia Cristiana en 1886 y estudi\u00f3 con Mary Baker Eddy en el Colegio de Metaf\u00edsica de Massachusetts. Ella lo prob\u00f3 como potencial pastor de la Iglesia de Cristo (Cient\u00edfico), pero \u00e9l no estuvo a la altura de las circunstancias.
