You\u2019ll find out how our archives offer exciting, meaningful topics in which a student can \u201cbecome the expert.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>National History Day encourages students across the U.S. to explore the rich world of archives\u2014and to create research projects on a particular theme. This year the Library is proud to join the list of libraries and archives that are welcoming young people to explore the unique stories their collections offer on the topic &#8220;Breaking Barriers in History.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/national-history-day\/\">Learn more about The Mary Baker Eddy Library&#8217;s resources and National History Day.<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Podcast guests<\/h2>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-26153\" style=\"padding-top: 7px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/MBEL-podast-guest_ep33_Kate_Melchior_Headshot_93x100px.jpg\" alt=\"Kate Melchior\" width=\"93\" height=\"100\" \/>Kate Melchior<\/strong> is Assistant Director of Education at the Massachusetts Historical Society, as well as a State Affiliate Coordinator of National History Day in Massachusetts. She received a master\u2019s degree in history from the University of Bristol, a bachelor\u2019s in English from Northwestern University, and a bachelor of music in vocal performance, also from Northwestern. An Austria 2012 Fulbright alum, Melchior performed research in the field of public memory. She has previously worked at Boston\u2019s Old North Church &amp; Historic Site, and the Heritage Museum &amp; Gardens in Sandwich, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-17833\" style=\"padding-top: 7px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Dorothy_Rivera_100px.jpg\" alt=\"Dorothy Rivera\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/>Dorothy Rivera<\/strong> has worked as a researcher at The Mary Baker Eddy Library since November 2014 and now serves as Manager of Research &amp; Reference Services. She came to the Library from the National Archives and Records Administration, where she worked as an archives technician.
