Today she is a Christian Science practitioner and teacher.<br \/>\n<code><\/code><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-29025\" style=\"padding-top: 7px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Dr-Carol-Gluck_93x100px.jpg\" alt=\"Dr Carol Gluck\" width=\"93\" height=\"101\" \/>Dr. Carol Gluck<\/strong> is the George Sansom Professor of History at Columbia University, specializing in the history of modern Japan, international history, and public memory. Her books include <em>Japan&#8217;s Modern Myths: Ideology in the Late Meiji Period<\/em>; <em>Words in Motion: Toward a Global Lexicon<\/em>; and the forthcoming <em>Past Obsessions: World War II in History and Memory<\/em>. Former President of the Association for Asian Studies, she now chairs Columbia\u2019s Committee on Global Thought, as a founding member.<br \/>\n<code><\/code><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-28979\" style=\"padding-top: 7px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Sarah-Schelde_93x100px.jpg\" alt=\"Sarah Schelde\" width=\"93\" height=\"100\" \/>Sarah Schelde<\/strong> is an archivist at The Mary Baker Eddy Library, where she processes and preserves historic materials within the Library&#8217;s Special Collections\u2014including the Mary Baker Eddy Collection. She has a bachelor&#8217;s degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania and master&#8217;s degrees in library science and history from Simmons College.
