Podcast guests<\/h2>\n

\"ArthurArthur S. Brisbane<\/strong> began and ended his newspaper career in New York, starting at a small weekly in his hometown of Glen Cove and ending as public editor for The New York Times<\/em>. In between he worked as a columnist, editor, and publisher for The Kansas City Star<\/em>, before becoming senior vice president of its parent company, Knight Ridder. He also did a six-year stint at The Washington Post,<\/em> first as a reporter and then assistant city editor. Brisbane and his wife, Jo, now live in Massachusetts on Cape Cod.<\/p>\n

\"NathanNathan Buchanan<\/strong> spent the past year as a research assistant at The Mary Baker Eddy Library. His article on Arthur Brisbane\u2019s interview with Mary Baker Eddy<\/a> was published on the Library\u2019s website in December 2020. Before coming to the Library, he worked for Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich, Massachusetts. He has a bachelor\u2019s degree in history from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. His areas of special interest include social change and American foreign policy after World War II.<\/p>\n
