J. Gordon, qui s\u2019en sont pris \u00e0 la Science Chr\u00e9tienne dans des conf\u00e9rences, des sermons et des articles de presse. Son discours est publi\u00e9 plus tard dans la brochure \u00ab\u00a0<em>Defence of Christian Science\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb [Apologie de la Science Chr\u00e9tienne]*.<\/p>\n<p>Si Cook et Gordon ont une opinion n\u00e9gative sur la Science Chr\u00e9tienne, nous avons r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9 quelques lettres adress\u00e9es \u00e0 Mary Baker Eddy en 1885 par d&#8217;autres eccl\u00e9siastiques qui lui disent combien ils appr\u00e9cient ses enseignements, sans pour autant s\u2019\u00eatre convertis \u00e0 sa religion.<\/p>\n<p>Mary Baker Eddy invite les responsables d\u2019autres confessions \u00e0 \u00e9tudier la Science Chr\u00e9tienne en offrant aux membres du clerg\u00e9 de suivre gratuitement son Cours Primaire. Dans une <a href=\"https:\/\/mbepapers.org\/?load=590.60.002\">lettre \u00e0 Mary Baker Eddy dat\u00e9e du 11 avril<\/a>, le pasteur unitarien J. W. Winkley** lui rappelle son offre\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Je suis tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ress\u00e9 par ce sujet, toujours davantage en fait, c\u2019est pourquoi je d\u00e9sire profiter de votre offre d\u00e8s que vous le jugerez bon.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Francis Partridge***, un pr\u00eatre anglican, adresse \u00e0 Mary Baker Eddy une <a href=\"https:\/\/mbepapers.org\/?load=700B.82.016\">lettre dat\u00e9e du 21 septembre<\/a>, dans laquelle il dit du livre,<em> Science et Sant\u00e9, <\/em>qu\u2019il est \u00ab&nbsp;une sorte de R\u00e9v\u00e9lation&nbsp;\u00bb. Il poursuit&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Je n&#8217;ai pas l\u2019intention de pratiquer la Science comme une profession, \u00e9tant fort heureusement bien occup\u00e9 actuellement par les devoirs attach\u00e9s \u00e0 ma fonction et \u00e0 ma paroisse. Mais j\u2019aimerais en savoir plus sur ce que le monde, me semble-t-il, attend depuis l\u2019\u00e9poque de notre Seigneur et Sauveur J\u00e9sus Christ.&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Egalement en 1885, James Henry Wiggin****, ancien pasteur unitarien, est engag\u00e9 par Mary Baker Eddy en tant que correcteur. Il participe plus particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 la r\u00e9vision de la 16<sup>e <\/sup>et de la 50<sup>e<\/sup> \u00e9dition de<em> Science et Sant\u00e9. <\/em>Leur collaboration montre un peu plus la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des interactions entre les responsables de diff\u00e9rentes confessions et la Science Chr\u00e9tienne.
