Bien que Mary Baker Eddy n\u2019ait pas \u00e9crit ce texte, on le lui attribue \u00e0 tort depuis plus d\u2019un si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p>Selon un num\u00e9ro de d\u00e9cembre 1899 du magazine <em>Unity,<\/em> une version diff\u00e9rente a paru pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans une brochure du r\u00e9v\u00e9rend Joseph Adams,<span id='easy-footnote-1-65443' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/fr\/research\/mary-baker-eddy-a-t-elle-ecrit-dans-la-mesure-ou-je-suis-l-enfant-de-dieu\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-65443' title='\u00ab\u00a0Brother Joseph Adams&amp;#8230;\u00a0\u00bb [Fr\u00e8re Joseph Adams], &lt;em&gt;Unity,&lt;\/em&gt; d\u00e9cembre 1899, 281.'><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> un \u00e9vang\u00e9liste wesleyen qui s\u2019\u00e9tait install\u00e9 \u00e0 Oakland, en Californie. Il s\u2019est converti \u00e0 la Science Chr\u00e9tienne en 1886 et a suivi l\u2019enseignement de Mary Baker Eddy au <i>Massachusetts Metaphysical College<\/i>. Elle a d\u2019abord vu en lui un pasteur potentiel pour l\u2019Eglise du Christ (Scientiste), mais il n\u2019a pas donn\u00e9 satisfaction. Au fil du temps, Adams s\u2019est \u00e9loign\u00e9 de ses enseignements.<\/p>\n<p>En 1907, Alfred Farlow, manager du Comit\u00e9 de Publication de l\u2019Eglise, envoie \u00e0 l\u2019un des secr\u00e9taires de Mary Baker Eddy une version compos\u00e9e de deux paragraphes de \u00ab\u00a0Dans la mesure o\u00f9 je suis l\u2019enfant de Dieu&#8230;\u00a0\u00bb. Et il \u00e9crit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019\u00e9nonc\u00e9 ci-joint circule dans tout le pays comme \u00e9manant de notre Leader&#8230; S\u2019il ne s\u2019agit pas d\u2019un \u00e9nonc\u00e9 de Mary Baker Eddy, j\u2019aimerais pouvoir le dire et mettre ainsi fin \u00e0 sa circulation.\u00a0\u00bb<span id='easy-footnote-2-65443' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/fr\/research\/mary-baker-eddy-a-t-elle-ecrit-dans-la-mesure-ou-je-suis-l-enfant-de-dieu\/#easy-footnote-bottom-2-65443' title='Farlow \u00e0 Irving C.
