Alors que Dieu est appel\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0P\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb dans la Bible, Mary Baker Eddy \u00e9nonce une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 profonde dans Science et Sant\u00e9 avec la Clef des Ecritures<\/i>\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0En Science divine, nous ne sommes pas autant autoris\u00e9s \u00e0 consid\u00e9rer Dieu comme masculin que comme f\u00e9minin, car l\u2019Amour donne l\u2019id\u00e9e la plus claire de la Divinit\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

C\u2019est en 1881, dans la 3e<\/sup> \u00e9dition de Science et Sant\u00e9<\/i>, que Mary Baker Eddy utilise pour la premi\u00e8re fois les termes \u00ab P\u00e8re et M\u00e8re \u00bb pour d\u00e9signer Dieu : \u00ab L\u2019homme ne devrait pas pr\u00e9tendre s\u2019arroger les pr\u00e9rogatives de son Cr\u00e9ateur, mais reconna\u00eetre Dieu comme le P\u00e8re et la M\u00e8re de tous. \u00bb<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Nous avons \u00e9galement consult\u00e9 les p\u00e9riodiques de la Science Chr\u00e9tienne pour y chercher la premi\u00e8re occurrence des termes \u00ab p\u00e8re et m\u00e8re \u00bb en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 Dieu, et nous l\u2019avons trouv\u00e9e en 1883, ann\u00e9e de la fondation du Journal of Christian Science,<\/i>\u00a0rebaptis\u00e9 plus tard The Christian Science Journal<\/i>. Le premier emploi du terme sp\u00e9cifique \u00ab P\u00e8re-M\u00e8re Dieu \u00bb se trouve dans une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence datant de 1896 tir\u00e9e de cette publication, citant le livre de Mary Baker Eddy Ecrits divers 1883-1896<\/i>, qui venait d\u2019\u00eatre publi\u00e9 : \u00ab Quand un c\u0153ur affam\u00e9 implore le divin P\u00e8re-M\u00e8re Dieu de lui donner du pain, il ne lui est pas donn\u00e9 une pierre, mais plus de gr\u00e2ce, d\u2019ob\u00e9issance et d\u2019amour. \u00bb<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Le terme \u00ab P\u00e8re-M\u00e8re Dieu \u00bb est apparu pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans la 226e<\/sup> \u00e9dition de Science et Sant\u00e9<\/i>, publi\u00e9e en 1902\u00a0:<\/p>\n

L\u2019Entendement est le Principe divin, l\u2019Amour, et ne peut rien produire qui soit dissemblable \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ternel P\u00e8re-M\u00e8re, Dieu. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est spirituelle, harmonieuse, immuable, immortelle, divine, \u00e9ternelle. Rien de ce qui n\u2019est pas spirituel ne peut \u00eatre r\u00e9el, harmonieux, ni \u00e9ternel. Le p\u00e9ch\u00e9, la maladie et la mortalit\u00e9 sont les antipodes suppos\u00e9s de l\u2019Esprit, et sont forc\u00e9ment des contradictions de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9.<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

En parlant de Dieu, Mary Baker Eddy utilise le terme sp\u00e9cifique \u00ab P\u00e8re-M\u00e8re \u00bb au moins cinq fois dans diff\u00e9rentes pages de Science et Sant\u00e9<\/i> et au moins treize fois dans diff\u00e9rentes pages dans ses autres \u00e9crits.<\/p>\n
