Opening Our Doors: “How Do You See the World?”

The Mary Baker Eddy Library participates annually in Boston’s Opening Our Doors community day. Join us for free, engaging activities for children, families, and the young at heart—connected to the Christian Science Plaza’s new exhibit experience, “How Do You See the World.” It’s an opportunity to explore possibilities for progress throughout the world—as you consider your own place in it.
And you can also tour the world-famous Mapparium™ globe, an architectural work of art!

Crafty drop-in projects suited for children and families.
STORYTIME
11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Be inspired by the stories of those who help the world through acts of forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude.
INTERACTIVE TOUCHTABLE
11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Check out this hands-on exhibit that offers many pathways into the Library’s collections. It’s part of the “How Do You See the World?” experience.
Directions and parking
- Find driving and public transportation directions to the Library here.
- Limited $17 parking is available to Library visitors at the Christian Science Plaza Garage. Please validate your parking ticket at the reception desk when you leave the Library. You must exit the garage within 20 minutes of validation. Entrance to the underground parking lot is north of the intersection of Huntington and Massachusetts Avenues, next to Horticultural Hall (enter via Massachusetts northbound — no entrance is available on Huntington Ave during construction).
- Bus parking may be available on Huntington Avenue westbound (State Route 9), adjacent to the Christian Science Plaza. Drop-off is at the Library’s main entrance on Massachusetts Avenue.
