Help me dear Lord to love them more&#8221; [\u201cQuando os outros odeiam, se op\u00f5em, ignoram, Ajuda-me, Senhor amado, a am\u00e1-los mais\u201d].<\/p>\n<p>Encontramos informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre essa afirma\u00e7\u00e3o, nas reminisc\u00eancias da praticista e professora da Ci\u00eancia Crist\u00e3, M. Ethel Whitcomb. Ela estudou Ci\u00eancia Crist\u00e3 com Flavia S. Knapp, que foi aluna nos Cursos Prim\u00e1rios ministrados pela Sra. Eddy em dezembro de 1884 e em setembro de 1885.<span id='easy-footnote-1-98761' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/pt-br\/research\/quando-os-outros-odeiam-se-opoem-ignoram\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-98761' title='Whitcomb esteve anunciada no &lt;i&gt;The Christian Science Journal&lt;\/i&gt; como praticista na regi\u00e3o de Boston, de 1897 a 1932. Ela tamb\u00e9m manteve an\u00fancio como professora da Ci\u00eancia Crist\u00e3 de 1905 a 1932.'><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Whitcomb se lembrou de ter visto esse poema durante uma visita \u00e0 casa da Sra. Eddy, em Concord, New Hampshire, EUA. Em 1925, ela disse o seguinte, \u00e0queles reunidos nA Igreja M\u00e3e em Boston:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>H\u00e1 muitos anos, eu estive em Concord, New Hampshire, com v\u00e1rios Cientistas Crist\u00e3os. Ao saber que est\u00e1vamos l\u00e1, nossa L\u00edder [a Sra. Eddy] mandou avisar-nos que poder\u00edamos visitar sua casa, enquanto ela estivesse em seu passeio di\u00e1rio de carruagem. No quarto dela, notei um verso escrito em um peda\u00e7o de papel preso \u00e0 parede ao lado da cama. \u201cSeria correto ler esse verso?\u201d Perguntei, sabendo que era algo valioso para nossa L\u00edder. Garantiram-me que sim. Eram palavras simples, constatei, mas t\u00e3o ricas, t\u00e3o profundas, que ficaram gravadas no meu cora\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 agora. \u201cQuando os outros odeiam, se op\u00f5em, ignoram, ajuda-me, Senhor amado, a am\u00e1-los mais.\u201d Eu n\u00e3o pude ler mais do que isso.<span id='easy-footnote-2-98761' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.marybakereddylibrary.org\/pt-br\/research\/quando-os-outros-odeiam-se-opoem-ignoram\/#easy-footnote-bottom-2-98761' title='M.
