From the Papers: A thank-you letter

Mary Baker Eddy received a lot of letters from readers of Science and Health. For many people, the book was their primary connection to Christian Science at a time when there were a limited number of practitioners, only a handful of teachers, and no church services for anyone outside the Boston area.
Lucy B. Wright, for example, penned a hearty thank-you letter to Mary Baker Eddy in September 1884, sharing her gratitude for Science and Health. “I have no one to help me,” she wrote, “but God, and your books.”
