Benjamin Marcus studied religion at the University of Cambridge and Brown University, and earned a master of theological studies at the Harvard Divinity School. A contributing author in The Oxford Handbook on Religion and American Education, he has developed religious literacy programs for public schools, universities, businesses, U.S. government organizations, and private foundations. Today he is the Religious Literacy Specialist with the Religious Freedom Center of the Freedom Forum Institute, a nonpartisan national initiative focused on educating the public about the religious liberty principles of the First Amendment.
