Did Mary Baker Eddy write it? “Letter to a Business Man”

We are occasionally asked about a document titled “Letter written by Mrs. Eddy to a Business Man in 1904.” It begins: “Experience teaches that the corrective work is always within….”

This letter has been misattributed to Mary Baker Eddy. In fact, it is published in an anonymous article titled “Christian Science and the Business Life,” from the September 1904 issue of The Christian Science Journal.
